Portal Linking Guidelines

To link portals perfectly in a 1:1 ratio, build the Nether portal exactly at X: 0, Z: 0.

Minecraft searches a 128-block horizontal radius in the Overworld (16 blocks in the Nether) for active portals. If multiple portals fall in this range, they will crosslink.

Always check Y coordinates! Although portal linking only matches X and Z, matching the Y level prevents portals from spawning you on high mountain peaks or deep cave ceilings.

Linking math: 8 Overworld blocks = 1 Nether block.

How it works

This engine processes live calculations client-side to output instant values. Inputs are stored locally in your browser storage so you do not lose your values. Share links dynamically append search queries to the URL so you can copy and send your exact configuration parameters to other players.
